Tactical Airsoft Sporting Association, NFP

Picture
Airsoft is a sport enjoyed by those that are looking for a military simulation experience. Based on the look and feel of the guns, gear and feeling the heart pounding sensation that is Mil-Sim.

The weapons are based on designs used in real life by the worlds armies and gun enthusiasts. They are not designed, and cannot be modified, to fire real ammunition because of the materials used, and the basic internal designs of the weapons. The variety of these guns range from claymores, grenades, and mines, to pistols, rifles and mini-guns! Airsoft guns fire small plastic 6mm bb's, and sometimes 8mm bb's using three methods; propane gas powered reciprocating assemblies, electrically powered gearboxes that create force using air pressure, and spring operated assemblies that create force using air pressure.

For the sake of the general public, all Airsoft 'toys' that are sold in, or imported to the United States must be tagged with a blaze orange tip, as defined in several state and municipal codes.

The most important aspect in Airsoft is SAFETY. Despite generally accepted rules regarding not shooting at the face, or within a 10 foot buffer zone, accidents do happen. So eye, and preferably face protection must be worn at all times, except inside designated safe zones, where even test-firing your weapon is not permitted.

Our goal as a group is to aid in the growth of this sport. the main goal we are looking to accomplish at this point is to find airsoft in our area a more sanctioned home. We as a group are looking for expansion and growth for the sport as a whole.
